John 15:1-8 God Teaching Through Jesus – The Parable of The Vine
1: I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.
2: Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.
3: Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.
4: Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
5: I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
6: If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.
7: If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
8: Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.

Yes, we are dancing side by side with an ocean in between us.
I'm taking a break from doing a major trimming job on a pot of grape ivy we have. Here you are speaking of vines and branches--
-- and I just put the thinned out ivy outside and have promised it a cache pot soon or perhaps a supportive re-potting as its roots are coming out at the bottom of the pot it is currently living in!
I've put several of its choice trimmings into a pitcher to root if they care to do so. And, I left a floor FULL of prunings to sweep together and pick up.
Sometimes I really am slow--it really is lovely that I have been trimming GRAPE ivy. That just this moment occurred to me!
The Great IAM is raising all of us loosely connected torch lights higher and higher that we may draw courage from Creator through recognizing each other. Shine and fan the new little flames to encourage their gifts!
Now a lady cardinal is hopping along the electric wire outside the window!
Perhaps I really should not spend much time here but rather go back out into this Friday's beauty.
